Boku no Hero Academia: Season 6
This has been, no doubt, the darkest season. We’ve seen plenty of dark and its impossible for me to list everything. Most interesting Endeavor and his family. Close second Hawks and everything he goes through this season, with his infiltration and the price he has to pay.
Of course, don’t think I’m forgetting our main character, Deku. He takes quite a toll on this one, by the end you can feel he’s at a breaking point. Did you notice the drawing on the last episodes, with all the ragged clothes? Very well done.
I got a friend who was showing me pages from the manga and usually these moments are captured with way more intensity on paper. Still, I didn’t feel it was bad. A part from a filler episode here and there. You can’t have epic battles every week (a man can dream!).
I hope we can close Bakugo’s chapter with Deku. They’re friends now, let’s move on. What I need from the 7th season is for Todoroki to shine, he’s been way too much in the shadows. He’s so strong and cool overall that it seems they’re not utilizing the character to its full potential. I want to see more.
Talking about being strong, don’t you think Deku is just so overpowered right now? He has finally awakened all the powers from the previous wielders and has gone from 0 quirks to “too many”. I would venture to say only Todoroki could be a match for him on a one-to-one and I’m still not fully convinced. Maybe they went overboard with his quirks? This tells me the upcoming enemies must be so strong, too strong perhaps.
What do I want less of? Uraraka. I’m sorry, she’s annoying. On the contrary, I also need more Mineta, such a fun character with such needed appearances in this dark and sad season.
