I don’t know what happened but I started this anime when it aired and for some reason I stopped 🤷♂️
Whatever the reason it might have been I came across it again when I was in a manga store in Barcelona and saw some volumes there. Then it hit me I never finished the anime, so here we are 😏 👨🚒
From Atsushi Ookubo, the author of Soul Eater, comes this action-packed anime with a similar art style (I’m not complaining, I like it!) 🚒 🔥
The main character you can empathize with, the early age struggles, the hard-working, and that crooked smile so defining 😈 All the other supporting characters from the fire company work very well together.
The story might start a little slow but picks up the pace very quickly and the end gives us the good stuff, the reunion with his brother. They left it in a great place for the next season. Thankfully I know there’s another one, otherwise, I would have been forced to start the manga.
The animation is above average, with some scenes looking very good leaving you wanting more 💯
The ending of this first season might’ve gone a little, just a little, too far with the whole “I can stop time” or “I can go to Hell or another dimension”. Let’s see if they push this further into the next season or that’s the most fantastical thing we will see. I hope the latter, I don’t want this to blow out of proportion 🧐
On one side I wished he could have saved Sho and have them both fight together against the Evangelist. Hopefully, season 2 won’t be the same search and rescue the first season has been and we’ll see the brothers join forces 💪
