Psycho-Pass? I shall pass
Contrary to more than 700,000 users over on MyAnimeList I didn’t like Psycho-Pass 😕
I went through the first 5 episodes but wouldn’t get hooked. Here’s what think happened:
- 🦾 The futuristic Sci-Fi themes in animes are not my forte
- 🎨 The animation style from 10 years ago (2013) was not super appealing.
- 🙄 The main character (depending on who you ask) Akane Tsunemori was boring to me, lacking depth and with an irritating personality. Shinya Kougami on the other hand was far more interesting, even Tomomi Masaoka the supporting character.
It started very well, I liked the blood and violence, the raw picture of the rotten human psyche 🔪
Even so, each episode felt very disconnected for a 22-episode show. The main storyline was quite faded. Like a story you would see in these never-ending animes like Naruto, where it moves very slowly.
I wanted to like Psycho-Pass 😞
